Summary: Almost certainly takes place in the same 'verse as this.
"Not like you to be so quiet." Red rubbed against Yangus, distracting him from the crisp red and gold leaves drifting outside the windows.
"Just thinkin'."
"Wot foolishness has you so unhappy, then?" Life had been pretty good the past year, she thought. Legitimate business could be as cutthroat as banditry; throw in the odd bit of treasure hunting for spice - and all right, perhaps she did sometimes keep her hand in the old game, but Yangus didn't need to know that - and things were damn near perfect.
"It's been 'alf a year now since I seen the Guv, is all."
Red sighed. Course Yangus would be mooning over that pretty lad he'd saved the world with. It was near enough to make her jealous, 'cept she wouldn't half mind seeing the boy again herself.
Still, he was a good long way away, and she was right here, and Yangus damn well better realize it. Her hands wormed into Yangus's trousers. "I can take yer mind off that," she promised, and he was gratifyingly hard even before her fingers closed around him.
He was gratifying in other ways, too, and by the time the sunlight turned the same red and gold as the leaves, she was well inclined to give him whatever he might want. Even if it would take a bit of traveling.
